Project Faculty Position(August of 2022)
The Department of Atmospheric Sciences at National Taiwan University seeks one non-tenure-track project faculty member (assistant professor or more senior) responsible for teaching, beginning on August 1, 2022. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree in the atmospheric environment, atmospheric chemistry, or closely related fields, with the capability to teach English.
1. Teaching requirements:
A.Teach 16 hours per week and mainly in English.
B.Teach professional courses include interdisciplinary courses related to atmospheric environment, atmospheric chemistry, and air pollution.
C.Teach courses such as logical thinking and English scientific writing for students in the College of Science or the whole university.
2.Required application documents :
A.Curriculum Vitae including teaching experience and teaching philosophy.
B.Teaching plan including a list of relevant subjects the applicant can offer and the course plan for at least 3-course syllabus including one professional course and two courses for the science college or the whole university.
C.Certificate of a doctoral degree and transcript of doctoral study.
D.Research publication: the publication list within seven years (published after August 2015).
E.Contact information of three referees, including name, title, affiliation, phone, and official email address.

Applicants who pass the initial review process will be contacted for an interview by email. No further notification will be provided for applicants not passing the review process.

1.經肄業或相關系、所、學位學程副教授以上2人推薦具有研究潛力者。
2.碩士班須修業一學期以上,學業成績總平均排名在全班人數前三分之一以內者。
或因其他特殊情形,經本系評定為成績優異者。
申請文件:
1.申請書一份,請向助教室索取
2.學士及碩士歷年成績表一份
3.教師推薦函二份。
4.研究成果或研究計畫書一份。

1.『逕行修讀博士學位學生研究提升計畫』提供每位直升同學可申請每月28,000元補助,最多可領取六學期,詳細規定請上研發處網頁(連結)

本書作者克里.伊曼紐(Kerry Emanuel)為美國麻省理工學院氣象學教授,為本系吳俊傑老師在麻省理工學院博士論文的指導教授。本書曾於2007年發行,近日於臺大出版中心再版發行,消息登於臺大校訊第1513期。
